Every decision we make — from bull selection to calving and culling — is guided by purpose and precision. We choose registered Black Angus herd bulls known for producing exceptional, well-marbled beef, and we pair them with strong maternal cows that raise healthy, vigorous calves. It’s the perfect combination of science, stockmanship, and care.

While heritage and breeding matter, how cattle are raised matters just as much. At Wellborn 2R Ranch, our cattle are raised without hormones or antibiotics — ever. They spend the first half of their lives grazing freely on native Texas grasses, developing natural muscle tone and robust flavor.
As they mature, we transition them to an all-natural grain diet, designed to enhance marbling and tenderness without compromising purity. This process requires extra time and care, but it’s what allows us to produce beef that’s naturally rich, flavorful, and exceptionally tender — the kind of beef that honors the land and the people who raise it.

We raise premium beef and hand cut each steak in our butcher shop on the ranch. We offer hard-to-find cuts such as bone-in filet mignon steaks.
